COMPUTEX TAIPEI, established in 1981, is the leading global ICT and IoT show with a complete supply chain and ecosystems. It has been offering a very wide range of ICT and IoT product and service, gathering brands from all over the world. TAITRA host a pre-show seminar in London on 26th February to introduce and promote this trade show. Both EVA AIR and CHINA AIR provide special offers to those companies plan to visit this trade show.

Director of KitGuru Mr Leo Waldock firstly shared his experience joining this show last year with their amazing Vlog. He was impressed by the scale of the exhibition and capacity of the exhibition hall. This year, visitors can even enjoy a newly launched exhibition hall in Nangang. Though part of the exhibitors will be in Nangang and part of them will be in Taipei centre, the shuttle buses go very frequently and the theme of each venue is very focused.

Then, the manager introduced more detail about the exhibition. As the visitors from the UK was not many according to the record last year, it TAITRA is working on attracting more British to join. You may not know (neither did I), that Taiwan is one of the best innovators in the world (WEF, 2018). This exhibition also especially host a European Innovation week by cooperating with EEN (Enterprise Europe Network). This event will offer a brilliant chance for all the European to work with the companies in Taiwan. European Innovation week will focus on the circular economy, AI, wind power, 5G, H2020 etc. Worldwide, end users are expecting a more durable and reusable product to reduce the IT waste or at least the ability of the product to be fully recycled. Hence, the capability of manufactures is very important.

Mr Stevinson (ManagingDirector in GNR Tech.) then shared his experience in working with the Taiwanese manufactures. He found that they tend to be very loyal and focused on value. He has been impressed by the outstanding quality and cost control. However, a very significant area of weakness is the ability of marketing — they are less likely to understand how to do branding. It would be a great opportunity for both start-ups who need a supplier with R&D ability and ICT companies who look chance to launch a new product or service line. Stevinson finished the talk by demoing a very impressive gadget. By simply downloading an application on mobile and both wearing specially-made earphone, both of the participants who could not understand each other suddenly can hear very properly translation by their earphone. Both the participants amazed by the quality of the translation. Though the gadget is still a prototype, it is expected to be able to be seen on the market soon. After scaling up, the price of this amazing gadget is likely to be affordable.

There will be much more inspiring innovation for visitors to discover. Don't miss out this opportunity. Taiwan, though is not a very well known country, is different from China in terms of production and the

You will, I am sure, also be impressed by Taiwanese hospitality and delicious food.
